We’re loving Babes Ride Out, who run annual female only campouts for us ladies who bike. They’ve got a fabulous Instagram account at https://www.instagram.com/babesrideout/ and a website here where you can buy tickets and t-shirts here.
Based in California and running awesome campouts in October every year, I narrowly missed attending last year as I ended up in Cali in November, but should be able to make it this year. Can’t wait! The Instagram is fantastic and worth checking out if you’re into some epic, great photography. All photos used in this blog were found on the Babes Ride Out Instagram.
Actors Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson recently purchased the eco-friendly Mercedes Benz B-Class F-Cell – which has pure water as its only emission – and promptly put it to the test by taking it camping for two days in California’s Death Valley. The twist is that they took no water supplies, and relied on water created from the emissions of their F-Cell to survive.

“We’ve become absolute fans of the fuel cell,” Diane said of the trip, documented in the short video below. The good news was the trek was a success and they didn’t run out of water. “The car usage is so easy. On a day-to-day basis our normal mobility isn’t restricted at all – and we had no water problems in Death Valley either.”
Lipstick & Gearsticks is on the road this weekend. We’ve got a zippy car we’re reviewing (keep your eyes peeled for our post when it lands next week) that we’re just loving, along with the amazing driving, food & hospitality. We’re down in East Gippsland, and crossed paths with this bad boy when we stopped at the Yarragon Alehouse for supplies. Have a great weekend!
